CBC Graduates Launch Church in Ohio

Charis Bible College graduates, and founders of Rain Ministries, Lance and Jessica Miller. (Click to enlarge)Lance Miller was four years old the first time he heard Andrew's voice. That was back in 1979, when Lance's mother, Vicki, started receiving Andrew's teaching tapes in the mail. With such an early introduction to the Gospel Truth, it's no wonder that Lance was born again and Spirit filled by age six.

Lance and Jessica met in high school. (Click to enlarge)In the early 90's, Lance met Jessica. The two were teenagers, attending the same high school in Ohio, when they began to enjoy spending time together. Lance's family welcomed Jessica with open arms, and she eventually began going to church with Lance's mom. It wasn't long before Jessica received Jesus and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Lance and Jessica were married in 1997. Shortly after their exchange of vows, Vicki introduced Jessica to Andrew's ministry, and the seeds for the Miller's future were planted. Jessica enjoyed the teachings, and her favorite message, to this day, is Knowing God. "I can listen to it over and over again," said Jessica.

Despite the Miller's spiritual foundation, over time their experience with mainstream Christianity left them sour Lance and Jessica in the cockpit of his father's plane. Lance was employed as a pilot at the time. (Click to enlarge)and disenchanted. Religion, life and everyday circumstances interrupted God's plan for their lives.

"When I was in my early twenties, a preacher gave me a prophecy that I would be very wealthy and successful. I spent the next ten years trying to force "the God prophecy," as I call it, to happen, and trying to prove something to my dad and to the world," Lance shared.

Looking back at the same decade, Jessica realized that she had learned to be religious. She said, "I knew how to pray, how to dress, how to act, and how to be extremely critical and As Lance pushed to prove something to the world, and to force-fulfill a prophecy, he lost sight of the best in life. Lance would party on the weekends to cope with the pressures he endured throughout the week. (Click to enlarge) judgmental of others. I thought I had it all figured out."

The Millers owned several businesses, and as Lance worked his way toward fulfilling the prophecy to be wealthy, he became consumed by his drive to succeed. By the world's standards, his relentless efforts were paying off, and he and Jessica were successful. In the process of building his empire however, he lost sight of what was important, and his pursuits wreaked havoc on his physical health and his marriage.

"I was a horrible person. Lying for business was not a problem, and I coped with stress by getting drunk and partying every weekend. I was a bad husband, with a great wife. At one point, I didn’t care if I lived or died, and I did things that should Lance and Jessica visiting Rampart Reservoir near their home in Woodland Park, Colorado. (Click to enlarge)have killed me numerous times," said Lance candidly.

Eventually, in 2008, unable to take the pressure any longer, Lance cried out to God. He said, "I can't do this anymore. I need a spiritual bath" (Psalm 51:10). As far as business was concerned, nothing changed in that instant, but Lance sensed God's grace in a new and powerful way. In those moments he realized that he didn't know God. Prior to this experience, Lance viewed God more as a lifeguard watching over him as he did things his own way. "I had an incredible, supernatural, God experience that lasted several weeks and totally rocked my world, and everything forever changed in my life," said Lance.

Lance and Jessica enjoyed the beaches in Florida while attending CBC in Jacksonville. (Click to enlarge)Within six months, the Millers closed down most of their business ventures, and moved to Colorado to attend Charis Bible College. After their arrival, they anticipated that they would spend the rest of their lives in Colorado. But in 2009, just six months later, God turned their attention to Jacksonville, Florida.

Conscious of the Lord's leading regarding Florida, the Millers made the most of the time they had in Colorado. From March to June of 2009, Lance's relationship with God expanded as he spent many hours just walking and talking with Him. It was in the mountains of Woodland Park that Lance learned how to hear God's voice, and it was there that God told him he would lead a church. "We had actual conversations where I would ask a question, and He would give me the answer. I would write down what He was Lance and Jessica on their second-year mission trip to the Dominican Republic. (Click to enlarge)saying as fast as I could," said Lance with a smile. The funny thing was, although Lance and Jessica were Bible college students at the time, Lance didn't like to read the Bible. He would have long conversations with God, and share with Jessica what he had heard. She in turn, would open up the Bible and show Lance the verses that the Lord was quoting to him as they spoke.

"She confirmed that I was not crazy," joked Lance. "This was the beginning of my wonderful relationship with my dad—God. It laid the foundation of everything that is good in my life today."

(Click to enlarge)Jessica had her own conversations with God during her time at CBC, and she realized quickly that she had not established a true relationship with the Lord. Jessica said, "At CBC I heard people give testimonies of real relationships, with a real God. Eventually, I was extremely honest with God, and told Him that I didn’t trust Him because I didn’t know Him. He told me that He would prove himself trustworthy. That started my journey of getting to know Him. I took down all formality and got real. He slowly drew me to Himself—to the real Him. I now know a God of pure love and goodness."

After completing their first year at CBC, the Millers moved to Florida to attend CBC-Jacksonville for their second and third Jessica stands ready for Kid's church at Rain Ministries.

years. While the relocation appeared crazy at the time, they had many confirmations that they were to finish school in Florida. Although the transfer was not without turmoil, their relationships with the Lord continued to grow over their two years in Jacksonville as they prepared for the ministry ahead of them.

When the Millers completed their studies in Florida, they returned to Ohio with a feeling of having been made over and restored. One year later, they launched Rain Ministries in the rural town of Covington. Lance said he is not interested in duplicating the traditional church model; he simply wants to introduce the God he and Jessica know, to the people of the world, by showing His kindness and His power.

Lance and Jessica know that many people are looking for the real God, and having had the same desires, they can Lance sharing a message at a Sunday morning service at Rain Ministries. (Click to enlarge)identify with those still searching. "I can relate. I was a bad person because I was misguided as to who God is," said Lance. "And out of my experiences, I want to teach people who He really is."

"We want people from absolutely any background to walk into church, the first time, and feel totally comfortable and at home. They don’t have to talk a certain way, pray a certain way, or dress a certain way. We also want to empower people to find their destiny and live it. God is most interested in their hearts, and so are we," said Jessica.

Sharing Holy Spirit in South America

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit turned out to be a key emphasis for a team of Charis Bible College students from Colorado who traveled to South America to minister in Colombia. Twelve students, led by Dr. Delron and Peggy Shirley, spent time in a variety of ministry environments and shared the good news of Jesus Christ with many. The team visited places such as rehabilitation centers, children’s rescue homes and churches.

While at a rehabilitation center for young women rescued from prostitution and drug addiction, one CBC student shared her testimony of receiving a severe beating, which resulted in a months-long coma. She explained to the young women how God healed Quite a mix of reality caught on camera in Colombia. (Click to enlarge)her from the inside out, and that she could forgive her attacker as a result. Once the team finished ministering on a believer’s new identity in Christ and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, the young women came forward for prayer. The majority of the group received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and they spoke in new tongues.

More students shared their testimonies the next day when the students visited a rehabilitation center for men recovering from alcohol and drug abuse. Again, most men in attendance came forward and received Jesus as Savior and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It was a powerful time for both the residents of the center and the Many received Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Click to enlarge)student missionaries.

The fruitfulness continued as the team visited a home for children rescued from cocaine plantation slave labor. Because of tight quarters within the building, the meeting was held outside at a nearby park. This allowed the students to minister to the children as well as to passersby. One group of five teenagers stopped to watch the dramas. A team member approached them to talk and learned that one out of the five was a believer. Before long, the other four teens received Jesus as well; an answered prayer for the one already saved.

Amie Larson prayed for the girl on the floor. The girl had been suffering from migraine headaches. When she got up, all pain was gone! (Click to enlarge)CBC Student, Amie Larson, recalled a young girl who approached her to pray for a migraine on the right side of her head. “I laid hands on her and began to pray in tongues, she began to sway back and forth, and as I commanded the migraine to go, she fell backwards into the catcher's arms and to the ground. As soon as she got up, I ran over to make sure the migraine was gone and it was! Praise God!”

Rain threatened to interfere with plans for more outside ministry, however, skies cleared supernaturally on more than one occasion. “Not only did the Lord close the physical heavens to stop the rain, He opened the spiritual heavens to pour out the anointing as the team ministered on the streets and in the churches,” said Delron.

Throughout the trip, students had the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones. One team member, who had never shared her faith or prayed for anyone to receive Jesus, led four people to the Lord during one outreach. stretched in other ways. Between interpreters not showing up, to flat tire on the bus, to switching from adult to children’s ministry at the last minute, the students learned Delron and Peggy’s first rule of missionary work—be flexible.

“Of course, the impact of the mission experience on the students was just as significant as the work done in the people of South America,” Delron noted.

CBC's Healing School in Minneapolis

Charis Bible College in Colorado Springs recently sent a team from its Healing School program to minister in Minneapolis. This is the second time, since the Healing School opened its doors two years ago, that they sent a group on the road. Last December, a team including the school's Director, Daniel Amstutz, and his assistant, Carlie Terradez, visited Kansas City and they saw great results. This trip to Minnesota yielded Part of the team that traveled from CBC-Colorado to Minneapolis.
a similar outcome; many lives were changed as Daniel, Carlie and students from CBC-Colorado and CBC-Minneapolis shared the love of God with the people of Minnesota.

Having flown in Thursday, June 13, one day ahead of the Healing School event, Daniel and Carlie had the opportunity to teach at CBC-Minneapolis. Although the school was not officially in session, 40 students attended the pre-meeting gathering.

Friday's schedule was packed with activity as the rest of the team arrived from Colorado. After getting organized, the group held a late-afternoon AWM Partner's meeting, and then the evening The evening began before the actual start time as people arrived before the worship team's sound check.
kicked off with a time of praise and worship. There was a tremendous sense of expectancy as people began crowding into the venue an hour before the meeting was scheduled to begin. Those arriving early began worshiping during the praise & worship team's sound check, and the team actually began the evening's meeting early to accommodate the interested and expectant audience.

By 7 p.m. the hotel venue, set to seat 450 people, was packed to capacity. The team could not squeeze another chair in anywhere. "Thankfully, the hotel removed the air wall at the back of the room so that we could expand," said Carlie. In the end, 636 people were in attendance, some traveling from 500 miles away to participate.Hotel staff opened up banquet room dividing walls to accommodate the crowd as the number of attendees swelled to 636—almost 200 more than expected. (Click to enlarge)

After a time of ministry, which included teaching and the sharing of testimonies from weekly Healing School meetings held in Colorado Springs, people were ready to receive what the Lord has provided. Among the first of the lives to be changed was a man several CBC-students encountered in the hotel bar. After chatting with the man, the students invited him to the meeting. The man attended, and he was the first to run to the front of the room, answering the altar call for Salvation.

When the invitation was given, the majority of the crowd, some 500 people, moved forward to receive prayer for healing. Individual ministry lasted well into the night, and many miracles manifested as the ministers prayed. While the list of blessed results is too long to Carlie Terradez (left) and another person (right) from the Healing School minister healing to a woman.

share in full, there were a number of unique and notable healings recorded.

A woman, who came to the meeting with her arm in a sling because of a painful shoulder condition, moved forward for prayer; her knuckles were swollen and pale. As the minister prayed, they both watched the swelling go down. After prayer, the woman removed the sling, and her arm and shoulder were completely healed and pain-free.

A man with leg pain and flat feet approached the prayer team. As he stood receiving prayer, God created arches in his feet and his leg pain immediately ceased. The man left jumping and leaping and praising God!

Throughout the night, as people received instant manifestations of healing, some voluntarily shared their testimonies from the platform. Each time someone told their story, it provided a Daniel Amstutz, Director of CBC-Colorado's Healing School, giving an altar call. One estimate reported that 500 people received individual ministry. (Click to enlarge)boost to others' faith, and it created anticipation in the onlookers still waiting in line. Two who received encouragement during their wait in line were a woman and her daughter. The mother had no sense of smell, and the daughter struggled with scoliosis and pain in her lower back. The mother walked away delighted to be able to smell and breathe through her nose, and the daughter walked away free from pain and with a completely straight spine.

Many, many more have stories of God's amazing love and restoration as a result of the team's time in Minnesota. The next Healing School on the Road will be held in San Jose, CA on August 9, 2013. Visit CBC-Colorado for more information.

Dominic Burns, the Director of Charis Bible College in Yorkshire, England. (Click to enlarge)"You can’t tell me Jesus doesn’t heal; He healed me.

You can’t tell me He doesn’t deliver; He delivered me from alcohol and hell.

You can’t tell me He doesn’t provide; He provided for me to go to school.

You can’t tell me tongues passed way with the apostles, for I am baptized in the Holy Ghost with tongues evident. God was good to me, so I took Him at His Word and I believe His truth, His way.

I am a new creation."

It is very easy for Dominic, the new Director of Charis Bible College-Yorkshire, to make these declarations, and to share them with others because they describe his personal experience. Now he ministers these truths with fruit manifesting from the seed of the Word he shares.

Dominic grew up in Northern Ireland where, following studies of hotel management and marketing, he climbed on to the fast track into the world of leisure management. However glamorous life in leisure management sounds, Dominic's life was anything but glamorous. He spent his time running pubs and clubs and looking after DJs. In his words, Dominic was, "Living quite a worldly, irresponsible, selfish lifestyle."

Several years ago however, during a temporary stay in the United States, Dominic met a pair of Christians. The two Dominic teaching Discipleship Evangelism classes at CBC Yorkshire. (Click to enlarge)individuals sowed into Dominic's life, and when he left the US, he was in possession of his first Bible. Although Dominic began reading his new Bible, and pursuing the things of God, he ended up in rehab shortly after his return to the United Kingdom, after a stint managing pubs in London. Looking back, Dominic said, "I was very ill, mentally, physically and spiritually."

Dominic successfully completed his rehab program, and continued reading his Bible. Dominic's younger brother, a born again believer, ministered to him from a distance; he sent books and shared the Word with Dominic over the Internet. As he dove into the Word, Dominic eventually called out to God for help.

"I was healed of mental problems, liver problems, delivered from alcohol (totally) and received great peace of mind and joy of heart. I knew it was God and Jesus who healed me. I got saved a few months thereafter, as I knew that I knew, God showed up for me (L to R:) Pastor Bob Ward, Dominic and Wendell Parr, celebrate Dominic's apprenticeship graduation and his installation as the new Director of CBC-Yorkshire. (Click to enlarge)big time and that He was good and kind," said Dominic.

Dominic was introduced to Andrew's ministry three months after his salvation experience when he met one of Andrew's ministry partners at church. The man fed Dominic's desire to know more of God by giving him CDs from Andrew's Gospel Truth Seminars.

When Dominic first heard Andrew's teaching and saw how accurately Andrew represented the word and work of Jesus, it was easy for him to believe the truth. "I saw it in the Scripture, clearly, and because of my erratic past, I had little or no religion in me to stop me from believing the actual truth of the Word."

Dominic's friend from church also brought him to an open house at CBC-Belfast. At the event Dominic was impressed by the message Andrew's World Outreach Director, Wendell Parr, shared. Dominic was also intrigued by things Yvonne and Grady O'Brien, directors at the time, shared. The messages, coupled with a desire in his heart, were enough for Dominic to Dominic's performing his first duty as the Director, introducing AWM's World Outreach Director, Wendell Parr. (Click to enlarge)enroll in classes the following school year.

Dominic spent one year under the O'Briens and one year under their replacement, Alan Bruce, before graduating from CBC-Belfast. During his first year, Yvonne and Grady poured into Dominic, and as they did, he began to recognize God's call to ministry. The Lord used Scripture, words of knowledge and things prophesied over Dominic to steer his path to Yorkshire to complete an apprenticeship. "The Lord used: 2 Kings 19:29; Zechariah 8:12; John 15:5, 16-17, to encouraged me to step out in faith and move to England. The word of God highlighted in Andrew's teaching called, A Place Called "There"settled my heart to be obedient to the call...The Word of God guided me along the way, so I moved from Ireland to England," Dominic shared.

In England, Dominic participated in the third-year apprentice program under the leadership of the CBC-Yorkshire campus. During his apprenticeship he was groomed to take over Dominic (center right) and a second-year CBC-Yorkshire student, minister to the man in black. (Click to enlarge)leadership of the school, and on March 18, 2013 he was officially installed as the Director of the school.

At this time, the school is in its second year, and there are 15 students (nine day school and six night school) enrolled in 2012-13 classes. Dominic indicated that he is expecting 30 students this coming fall. "Many enquiries and school visits are being made at present by prospective students, praise the Lord. We will have ten students receiving award at the graduation/promotion ceremony in May 2013."

Andrew's teaching helped to confirm that God is a good God and encouraged me that He indeed is for me— and everyone else too. My Andrew Wommack Ministries partner friend encouraged me and helped me to take a step of faith based on the Word, and I did. Here I am four years later ministering, teaching, discipling, and running a school, so others may be blessed to be a blessing to others," Dominic said with complete satisfaction.

Last month, Andrew provided a live video update detailing the progress at The Sanctuary, Charis Bible College's new campus in Woodland Park, Colorado. It was his eleventh update since construction began in September of 2012. In this video, Andrew reviewed the installation of the massive trusses, the large wooden beams that give the Barn its distinctive shape, and showed the early stages of closing in the Barn's roof. Andrew also touched on the extent of the progress being made around the perimeter of the building itself, as well as across the entire campus. As you will see, a lot has changed since the first scoop of earth was moved last September.

CBC-South Africa graduate, Junaid Esau and his family. (Click to enlarge)Junaid Esau began reading God's word when he was just eight years old, when his grandmother lovingly handed him his first Bible. With the book, she gave him one simple instruction—read it. From that early age, Junaid spent countless hours with his nose in the Bible.Junaid, age 8

During his travels as a young man, Junaid encountered a Christian, ministering on the train he was riding. The man shared a message that caught Junaid's attention: "If you believe, you will receive." The man ministering the grace-filled message invited Junaid to visit the church he attended near Junaid's home in South Africa. At Junaid's new church, he was introduced to more than a broader version of the Gospel than he already understood; he was also introduced to a young woman named, Kelly-Anne. Junaid knew he had found the love of his life.

Junaid... Happy to be in the United Kingdom. (Click to enlarge)As Junaid entered his twenties he began to have an unshakable desire to visit England. Junaid attributed this desire to the leading of the Lord. "More and more I couldn't stop thinking about England, and things really came together quickly to make it happen. I even got my driver's license two days before leaving," Junaid shared. Although Junaid left for the UK, almost immediately after meeting Kelly-Anne, the two continued to build their relationship via telephone and snail-mail correspondence.

On the ground in the UK, a couple from South Africa, his mother's friends, got him plugged into a local church. There, he met Iain and Maria McDonald. The McDonalds happened to be Andrew's ministry partners, so it wasn't long before Iain introduced Junaid Thanks to Iain and Maria McDonald, Junaid dove into Andrew's teachings. Junaid immediately began to devour Andrew's messages; You've Already Got It, The Believer's Authority and Spirit, Soul & Body. Exposure to these teachings came at a time in Junaid's life when he was seeking and absorbing as much teaching as he could get his hands on. These messages strengthened his foundation and equipped him to stand securely in his faith in any situation.

The time spent in England had a profound effect on Junaid. Greater than the cultural effects of living in a foreign nation were the effects the Gospel had on him—it changed him. After spending two years in the UK, Junaid sensed the Lord leading him Kelly-Anne and Junaid.

back to South Africa.

Upon his return to South Africa, Junaid and Kelly-Anne continued to build their relationship. Three years later, they were married. After they were united, Junaid shared Andrew's teaching with his new bride. Like they had for Junaid, Andrew's teachings revolutionized Kelly-Anne's relationship with God. You've Already Got It and Christian Survival Kit rekindled her passion for the Lord, and firmly established an understanding of her identity in Christ.

It was only a short time later that Junaid and Kelly-Anne were expecting their first child. Kelly-Anne's pregnancy ran its course beautifully; she was in good spirits, healthy and energetic throughout. However, the couple's financial circumstances loomed in the back of Kelly-Anne's mind, and she began to worry about how they would afford proper medical care for the baby; she didn't want to go to a government-run hospital. Late in the Kelly-Anne's pregnancy went smoothly.
pregnancy her underlying fears finally rushed to the surface as tears, and Junaid calmly assured her the Lord would provide for their needs.

Kelly-Anne's due date had come and gone by several days before she finally went into labor. Although her pregnancy had progressed without any trouble, Kelly-Anne's fears resurfaced at the hospital, and she panicked because of the lack of attention from the hospital staff. After 27 hours in labor, Kelly-Anne's body was still not ready for the delivery, but she felt it was time push anyway and called for help. After some struggle, their baby was delivered—stillborn. The extended delivery time coupled with a pair of morphine injections had left the Esau's son limp, blue, Baby Benjamin had been delivered breathless, limp and lifeless. After his delivery the hospital staff worked feverishly to revive him. It wasn't until the Esaus and their pastor agreed in prayer that Benjamin took his first breath—almost 15 minutes after his delivery. (Click to enlarge)breathless, lifeless.

The delivery room staff went into a frenzy, trying to resuscitate baby Esau. As Junaid and Kelly-Anne tried to process what was happening, conflict rose in Junaid's heart. Faced with the scene in the hospital, he struggled to reconcile what he could see, with what he knew to be true...that God had blessed the Esaus with a son."[Thoughts] went from a joy and a peace, to where what I saw (the nurses frantically busy with Ben) started encroaching on that—I almost felt helpless. Then, I chose the side of God, and I took my eyes off the situation, and focused on the Lord," Junaid said.

The couple made their stand. Junaid declared that they would have a perfectly normal baby boy, and Kelly-Anne began to speak life over the baby, prophesying that he would live and not die, Four days after being stillborn, raised from the dead, and healed of all complications, Benjamin Esau went home with his parents. (Click to enlarge)and calling out the things that he would accomplish one day. God's Peace flooded the Esaus after their declaration.

As the hospital staff continued to scramble, Junaid called his pastor, Andrew Lamb. After explaining the situation, Junaid asked for prayer. As Pastor Lamb brought his prayer to a close, and the two said amen, the baby's chest rose, filling with his first breath.

Benjamin Esau was alive, but he was not out of the woods yet... Junaid was emboldened by the presence and peace of God in their situation, and he accompanied his son to the neonatal ICU. It was his intention to protect Benjamin from any negativity that could be spoken over him. As the doctors examined Benjamin, One doctor admitted that what happened with Benjamin was a miracle. Today Benjamin is a happy healthy little boy, and wonderful big brother to his siblings. (Click to enlarge)his body behaved erratically, and his prognosis was discouraging. Because of the duration of the labor and the baby's lack of oxygen, he was diagnosed with Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) a condition that may cause developmental delay, mental retardation, cerebral palsy or death.

When he was diagnosed, Benjamin's test results indicated he was in a near vegetative state. As Junaid processed the information he was given, he asked the doctor to clarify that the cause of his son's problems came from severely damaged brain cells. The doctor affirmed Junaid's conclusion. Then, Junaid thanked the doctor, walked over to his son and in front of the medical staff (still working feverishly to help Benjamin) put his hand on him and spoke to his After the family's ordeal, Junaid chose to attend CBC-South Aftrica. The Esaus stood their ground; they stood on the Word of God, and they spoke to their mountain. Kelly-Anne said that today, Benjamin is the complete opposite of the doctor's prognosis. And, Junaid comfortably commented that his son will only be slightly more intelligent... than Albert Einstein!

Charis Bible College Continues to Expand in India

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2).

This verse sparked Andrew's vision for the expansion of Charis Bible College. This applies to the expansion of the main campus in Colorado, as well as to the growing network of extension campuses crisscrossing the globe. While many of the extensions make their home in the United States, there are an increasing number of offerings abroad too. An example of this growth can be seen in India, which is now home to three CBC-campuses.

Lance and Gerri present CBC-Chennai graduate, Lawrence with his diploma. CBC-Chennai Administrator, Aubrey Bastian (right). (Click to enlarge)Lance Weldgen, the Director of both Andrew Wommack Ministries of India and CBC-India, indicated that there is a recognizable hunger for truth and a pursuit of God prevalent among the nation of India, but that the religious people of the region are predominantly caught up in Hindu and Muslim practices. It is the Indian people's hunger that has made room for CBC's growth in the region.

Since Lance and his wife, Gerri, took the helm of CBC-India in Chennai, in 2012, the school has blossomed to include two new campuses, one in Mumbai, Maharashtra and another in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. In a perfect example of 2 Timothy 2:2 in motion, Lance said that Map highlighting CBC-India's three campus locations.

in each case of expansion, the visionaries (CBC-India graduates called to these specific locations) led the way.

"Gerri and I came to India to share the unconditional love and grace of Jesus Christ with the Indian people. We came with what we had learned from CBC-Colorado, plus my healing testimony, plus the call of God and not much else. We quickly learned that the people here have a major Truth shortage that they really do want resolved. And the Word of God is their solution. As soon as we share about healing and God’s love, we have a captive audience," said Lance.

Before the Weldgen's arrival in India, they made connections with CBC-India graduates, Ashish Shinde and Victor Ashish Shinde and his wife, Sarah (top row, center) lead the campus in Mumbai. (Click to enlarge)Gnanaraj. Lance and Gerri shared their hopes and vision for the spread of the Gospel Truth throughout India. Both men responded with passion and a desire to be a part of spreading the good news, Ashish in Mumbai and Victor in Hyderabad. Once on the ground in India, Lance discerned Ashish and Victor's hearts for God and ministry, and he knew CBC’s were to be planted in each location. Both of these satellite schools are doing very well.

CBC-Mumbai operates as a part-time satellite school and will do so for one more year before transitioning into a full-time, two year college. Classes meet once per week on Saturdays for six and a half hours. The curriculum consists of all the college's required first-year teachings by Andrew Wommack, Wendell Parr, Greg Victor Gnanaraj and his wife Varsh (center) lead the school in Hyderabad. (Click to enlarge)Mohr, Barry Bennett, Lawson Purdue, Delron Shirley and Arthur Meintjes. Approximately one third of the classes feature live teaching. The campus in Hyderabad has run along the same lines and has moved into full-time extension school status.

These new schools are the result of more than just the plans stirred in the hearts of men; they are the answers to many prayers. Aside from Andrew's prayers, and those of his World Outreach team and Lance and Gerri's own prayers, the Indian people were also praying. Lance said, "After hearing the testimonies of all the Lance teaching in Hyderabad.

students at each school, we learned that it was not just our prayers that prayed these schools into existence; it was the prayers of the students." Over and over, the Weldgens have heard testimonies of people who had watched the Gospel Truth program on TV and dreamed of going to CBC, in the US or in Chennai, but they were unable to leave their families or jobs to leave Mumbai and Hyderabad. So, they prayed for God to make a way. They spoke to the Lord about a CBC coming to their cities, long before the ministry ever announced expansion plans. The prayers of the faithful were answered.

The fruit of the answered prayers goes beyond the opening of each campus. While it is outstanding that each new school Gerri ministering to the students in Mumbai. (Click to enlarge)in India opened with more than 25 students, what's more impressive is the students' eagerness to receive the fullness of what the Lord has provided. They have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with gladness, and that has opened them up to see miracles and demonstrations of God's great love.

One of the reported miracles came from a Hyderabad student, Daniel Jaya Kumar, who had been getting filled with the Word through Andrew’s teachings. Daniel shared that his daughter, who had been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for many years, had died. The good news however, is that she was raised from the dead! And, the rheumatoid arthritis was completely gone! Daniel's Lance and Gerri ministering to the students in Mumbai. (Click to enlarge)daughter lives a normal life today.

"The passion for teaching others the great truths that Andrew has passed on to us, including the Administrators of each CBC, makes the mission an unstoppable one! There is nothing that will impede the expansion of God’s Kingdom throughout India," Lance declared with the authority of heaven.

Andrew's Trip to Uganda - October 2012

Andrew in Kampala, Uganda with (L-R) CBC's Dean of Education, Greg Mohr and Lighthouse Television's, Gary Everett. (Click to enlarge)Andrew Wommack Ministries continues to share the almost-too-good-to-be-true-news of the gospel in Uganda as the ministry expands its presence into previously unreached areas of the country.

Many readers probably remember the post we shared two years ago about the passing of Leland Shores III, the former Director of Charis Bible College in Uganda. Because of Leland’s unexpected death, AWM was forced to close the Kampala-based campus at the end of 2011. AWM never gave up on the extension school; rather, Andrew and his staff waited for God to bring new directors to lead CBC-Uganda. As we shared in a post in September 2012, those directors have been found in Hank and Mary Lenz. The couple welcomed Hank and Mary Lenz, the new Directors of CBC-Uganda. (Click to enlarge)150 students to class when they reopened the school at the end of January 2013.

In addition to the school, AWM has been advancing the gospel in other ways in Uganda. For the past eight years, Andrew has been broadcasting the Gospel Truth twice a day on Lighthouse Television. This station, also located in Kampala, was originally erected by the Chinese Communists for Uganda's brutal dictator, Idi Amin. Once used to broadcast Amin's propaganda, this station is now used to advance the Kingdom.

A busy market in Kampala.
AWM also established a bookstore in downtown Kampala, at the busiest intersection in the city. Nearly 10,000 people walk past the location each day. An average of 25 people per week come to the Lord, and many more receive prayer and the baptism of the Holy Spirit through ministry at the bookstore.

More recently, the Lord has opened new doors for AWM to expand into one of the most remote areas of Uganda—the Karamoja region in the northeastern part of the country. This area is home to more than one million people, living in 5,000 primitive villages.

An aerial view of villages in the Karamoja region. (Click to Enlarge)The people in these isolated villages live as their ancestors did a thousand years ago. The tiny grass huts, in which they live, are made of sticks with thatch coverings. Some of the larger huts have two levels; the lower level is only about four feet tall, and the entire hut is only eight feet in diameter. It is not uncommon for families of eight or ten people to live in the lower portion alone! With the exception of cooking pots and mats for sleeping, the families have no possessions. Some of the villagers do not wear any clothing.

Perhaps the saddest part of the Karamoja existence is the overwhelming malnutrition and widespread water contamination. The villagers are ranchers and goat herders, but fighting among the people has wiped out the majority of the cattle. All that remain are very small, thin goats. With the villagers' focus set on trying to find enough food to survive each day; it is a seemingly hopeless situation. They are only a step away from death at any given time.

Andrew, with a military guard (left) ministering in Moroto. (Click to enlarge)Spiritual poverty is rampant in the region as well. The Karamojan people have no idea what a Bible is or who Jesus is. Instead, they adhere to the many pagan practices of their ancestors.

Here’s the good news: God is moving in Uganda—even in the remote areas of Karamoja—and His Word is beginning to go forth in powerful ways. Recently, Ugandan President, Museveni, publicly repented for all of his sins, as well as those of his nation, and he dedicated Uganda to the Lord. Uganda is in revival, and God has positioned AWM to be a big part of what He’s doing there.

Last October, Andrew visited Karamoja with a Ugandan pastor named, Francis. Pastor Francis is from the southwestern region of Uganda and was among the first Ugandans to be discipled through AWM. Pastor Francis has personally discipled more than 300 ministers and, with AWM's help, he teaches the Discipleship Evangelism course on five radio stations, reaching thousands of people on a daily basis.

Andrew teaching (Click to enlarge)After seeing the physical and spiritual poverty of the Karamojan people, Andrew knew he had to do something to help them long-term. As he shared his heart with Pastor Francis, Andrew learned that after pastoring for twenty-five years, Francis had heard from God that beginning in 2013 he was to turn his church over to an associate and begin traveling to teach Andrew's Discipleship Evangelism course The peolpe listening (Click to enlarge)full-time. In January 2013, Pastor Francis came to work for AWM, and through their partnership they are reaching the people of Karamoja.

Francis travels to Karamoja regularly and uses the Discipleship Evangelism program to train approximately one hundred believers. He teaches up to five lessons over a couple of days Andrew praying (Click to enlarge)and then sends the disciples out in groups to show the JESUS film in the native language of the people. This in itself is a huge deal, as most of the people in this area have never seen a movie. Just showing the film could draw every person in the entire village to come and watch.

After viewing the movie about Jesus, villagers have a frame of reference as to who Jesus is and what He did for them. Immediately after The Elder of Lodoi giving Andrew his staff and stool. Pastor Francis holding the staff. (Click to enlarge)watching the film, Pastor Francis’ team gives an invitation to receive the Lord. Over the weeks that follow each outreach, the new converts are discipled by those who have already received the Discipleship Evangelism training.

In addition to these efforts, CBC-Uganda will take their future mission trips to the Karamoja region, bringing hundreds more laborers into this harvest field. With these avenues in place, Andrew and Pastor Francis plan to reach all the villagers in the region with the gospel within three years.

For more on the Karamoja project, be sure to check out our Inside Story post In the Backcountry of Uganda. In that post we share an interview with Andrew as well as pictures and video from his trip.

Victor Immanuel's Desire to Help & Heal

Victor and Natasha Immanuel, the Directors of Charis Bible College Naberezhyne Chelny, Russia. (Click to enlarge)Victor Immanuel was born and raised in Vellore, Tamilnadu in India. In 2001, he moved to Russia to study medicine and become a doctor. While studying to help and heal people in St. Petersburg, he had an encounter with the Gospel and met the true Healer, Jesus.

Victor was raised in a home with mixed religious beliefs; his mother was a Christian, while his father preferred to follow Hindu practices. As a teenager, Victor leaned more toward his father's belief in an acceptance of all gods. This leaning changed however, when at the age of 17 he came across a dead dog wasting away in the street. The sight of the dog's rotting carcass prompted Victor to ask himself deep questions: Would he end up like the dog in the street? What was after death? Why was he alive at all? These questions and many others troubled Victor, to the point that he sought the council of local religious leaders. Hindu leaders told him that after death he would go to God or to hell or come back as an animal, depending upon how he lived his life prior to death. They gave him a list of rules and regulations to follow to get to God. When Victor asked if they could guarantee (with one hundred Victor and his family. Victor was born and raised in Vellore, Tamilnadu in India. (Click to enlarge)percent certainty) that he would go to God if he followed all the rules, they said, no. Frightened by the Hindu leaders' lack of security, Victor asked Muslim friends the same questions. Their rule and regulation-rich answers were delivered with similar uncertainty.

Finally, Victor turned to Christian friends for answers; these friends brought Victor to their pastor. The pastor shared the gospel with Victor. Doubting the simplicity of believing in Christ's finished work for salvation, Victor asked the pastor for a one hundred percent guarantee. The pastor's reply startled Victor, "Not 100%...200%! I am sure you will be with God, if you trust in Jesus." Victor Victor ministering during his first mission trip to Chelny (Click to enlarge)received Jesus after his conversation with the pastor.

A short time later, as Victor was seeking the Lord about His plan for his life, he sensed the Lord leading him to Russia. "He said he had a ministry for me in Russia," said Victor. He kept the Lord's words in his heart, and he moved to Russia with the intent to study medicine.

Upon settling in St. Petersburg, Victor became involved with a local church. During one service, it was announced that Carrie Pickett, a Charis Bible College graduate and missionary from Colorado, was going to host bible school classes in the evenings. Victor was excited by the thought of studying medicine during the day and studying the Bible at night.

Victor sitting with mentor, teacher and friend, Mike Pickett, Co-director of CBTC and AWM-Russia, watching Andrew speak during his visit to St. Petersburg, Russia, (Click to enlarge)It was through his evening studies with Carrie that Victor was introduced to Andrew's ministry. Although he frequently heard Carrie mention Andrew by name, he was not terribly interested in him because he had never seen Andrew in person. In 2008, Victor's perspective about Andrew and Christianity was radically transformed when Andrew visited St. Petersburg. Victor said, "Andrew spoke on Spirit, Soul & Body and Believer's Authority, and this totally changed my life... I got the understanding of who I am in the spirit, what kind of power is living inside me, and how to use the [believer's] authority. [Andrew] demonstrated this by healing people. I found what I had been seeking. I went to Andrew's website and downloaded all the teachings. Every day, for four hours, I listened to him, and I got a very good grip on the word of God."

Victor visits with men from a drug rehab. He has seen many healings in this facility. (Click to enlarge)Victor continued his studies enrolling in classes at Charis Bible Training Center. As he grew in the Word, he desired to see the power of God manifest through him; he was looking for an opportunity to see people healed and raised from the dead. In August of 2009, he came across a woman lying in the street. The woman was motionless, and her mother stood nearby crying. Victor stopped to help, and as he supported the woman's head, he prayed in tongues. He heard Holy Spirit instruct him to lay his hand on her heart. Victor spoke and said, "Heart work in the name of Jesus." Immediately, she started breathing, stood up and began walking around."I was so excited to see this happen, to see the word of God accomplished its work; I was so happy," recalled Victor.

Victor's second mission trip to Chelny. He prayed for this boys deaf ears to hear, and they were opened.
Victor's experience set his ministry in motion. He has seen many other manifestations of God's power since that day. Following his encounters with God, Victor's desire to be a doctor began to wane. He knew he had the power of God on the inside of him—the power to heal and help others, and although he was still in medical school, he turned his full attention to ministry.

One other person had a significant impact on Victor's life as well, CBTC graduate, Natasha Starikova. At first, Victor knew of Natasha only by name, through the church he attended in St. Petersburg. After her CBTC graduation, Natasha became a missionary, and the church often prayed for her as she traveled to foreign countries. Victor put a face with her name in 2010, when she returned to CBTC to Victor and Natasha were married in 2010. (Click to enlarge)teach several leadership classes. The two finally met during Victor's mission trip to Naberezhnye Chelny late in 2010. Victor and Natasha witnessed many miracles on the trip, and had the opportunity to discuss their stories and the desires of their hearts—sharing their passions for Christ. The two had an instant connection, and within days they knew they were to be partners for life. They were married on November 27, 2010.

Eventually, Victor's practice of placing a higher priority on his call to ministry than his medical studies cost him his medical degree, and that is fine with him. Today Victor and Natasha run a CBC extension school in Naberezhnye Chelny and Victor pastors a church called, God's Love, which he planted there two years ago. With regard to his pursuit of ministry Victor said, "Basically I found my ministry place, my wife, provision—everything—just because I chose to follow my heart. I lost my Victor speaking during the commencement ceremony for CBC-Naberezhnye Chelny's first graduating class. (L-R: Victor, Natasha, Andrew, his translator, Vladimir Tcys, Carrie and Mike Pickett).

The New Normal: From Autism to Awesome

The McDermott Family: Christopher, Deborah, Timothy and James. (Click to enlarge)It was a perfect Monday morning when Christopher McDermott held his newborn son, Timothy, for the first time. Although the two had met only moments before, a bond of love was already forming. Christopher wanted only the best for his son, and at that moment, he couldn’t imagine anything that would keep him from it.

Any thoughts Christopher and his wife, Deborah, had of Timothy being a “perfect” baby quickly faded when they discovered that their child was completely inconsolable. “He’d scream and scream as though he was in pain, but the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with him,” Deborah shared. As new parents, the McDermotts didn’t know what to expect from a newborn, so they just assumed that most children were like Timothy.

Aside from his fussiness, Timothy seemed, to the McDermotts, to be perfectly normal and happy—at least for his first few years. “When Timothy got older, we realized that he wasn’t a happy boy,” said Deborah. “He was very nervous and anxious all the time.”

Problems escalated when Timothy was about nine. He had been homeschooled up to that point because the McDermotts were afraid he would be diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder if he was sent to school. “He couldn’t even sit still to eat,” recalled Deborah. “He would run around the table, take a mouthful, then run around the table again."

The McDermott’s second child, James, also proved to be a difficult baby; yet, unlike Timothy, he was happy. “We suddenly realized how different it was to have a child who was bubbly and would look people in the eye,” said Christopher.

Matters became worse for Timothy after James arrived, as his parents had less time to devote to him. The McDermotts enrolled Timothy in a small, specialized school, which they thought could help him. Instead, it only magnified his problems. Timothy began having nightmares about drowning, he lost weight, and he stopped growing. He then started having storms, where insignificant issues would cause him to fall to pieces. Timothy would engage in head-butting doors or the floor, or punching himself as a result of his distress. He also had no coordination, which caused simple things like writing to be a major challenge. The McDermotts had no choice, but to take Timothy out of school and seek professional help.

Deborah and Timothy
When James was about eighteen months old, he too began having his own issues. “James always had a few odd things [about him], but not enough to cause concern,” recalled Deborah. “But then he stopped talking and communicating, and then he stopped wanting people to look at him…he became bothered with lights, and then he stopped eating his food [if it wasn’t the perfect texture and just right].”

At the suggestion of Timothy’s therapist, the McDermotts also had James evaluated. He was diagnosed with developmental delays, behavioral issues, along with obvious impairments that are on the autistic spectrum. At this point, Timothy had already been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, and now James had the possibility of the same diagnosis. Christopher and Deborah came face-to-face with the reality that, against all odds, they had two children with serious disabilities.

“One day, when I was really down, I turned on Christian programming on television,” recalled Deborah. “Mothers were talking about their kids and proudly showing off their pictures... And it just hit me, what I was really experiencing with my own family. I felt so alone and deserted. I yelled out to God, ‘Why don’t You help us?’ I had been asking Him to help for years, and I was angry. I believed it was God’s fault because I had been taught that He was sovereign. I said, ‘I love my boys so much, and You’re supposed to love them more than me...’ I told Him, ‘I Deborah and James
would die for my boys.’ He said, ‘I already did.’ I was so stunned that I just shut up.”

Then Deborah continued her conversation with God, “You did die, but what difference does it make in our situation?” God simply replied, “I’ll heal your sons.” Deborah’s faith leapt, and in her heart, she immediately believed that her sons would be okay.

One day as Deborah was praying, her mother, who lives several hours away, phoned to tell her to turn on the Gospel Truth. She immediately tuned in and watched the story of Hannah Terradez, whom God miraculously healed of a life-threatening disease. “As I watched that day, faith rose inside of me,” recalled Deborah. “I thought, Yes, Andrew’s talking about my God!” Christopher looked up Andrew Wommack Ministries on the Internet, and to the McDermotts’ surprise, discovered that Andrew would be in Walsall—a two-hour drive—in two weeks.

Over the next couple of days, Deborah and Christopher diligently researched both AWM and Hannah. They were blessed and amazed by what they learned, and knew in their hearts that this was God’s answer to their cry for help. They also knew that it would take a miracle just to get to Walsall with their two boys, who didn’t do well with car rides or unfamiliar surroundings.

To further prepare their hearts, the couple began watching Andrew every day, bought as many of his books as possible and downloaded teachings from Andrew's website. Their faith grew to believe God for what He said they already had. Deborah’s next step was to call Andrew Wommack Ministries of Europe and alert them to their situation. “The woman I spoke with said, ‘If you can’t get them out of the car, we’ll send a prayer team to you.’ Then she prayed in a way that I had never heard before. She was authoritative and thanked God that it was already done. I hung up and thought, This is really going to happen,” Deborah said.

The two weeks leading up to the trip tested the McDermotts’ faith to its limits. Timothy cried with anxiety whenever the trip was mentioned, and when the day came to go, he physically fought getting into the car. But Deborah recited to God His promise and refused to back down. As the family drove, both boys settled in and became calm—even cheerful. The miraculous was already happening.

As an additional step of faith, once the McDermotts arrived at their hotel, they ate next door at the same KFC where Hannah ate right after God healed her. Both boys—who, for their entire lives, were not only severely restricted with what they ate, but also had to have their food prepared in particular ways—ate their fill of popcorn chicken and fries. God continued to answer the family’s prayers with one miracle after Timothy and James have been completely healed. (Click to enlarge)another.

During a break at Andrew's meeting, Deborah and Christopher waited in line with their sons so Andrew could pray for them. The line was long, and before their turn came, Andrew announced that it was time to return to their seats. Completely deflated, Deborah began weeping. She couldn’t leave without Andrew praying for them. Just then, someone grabbed her arm and thrust her right in front of Andrew. That someone was Paul Flanagan, former director of Charis Bible College-West Midlands.

Christopher said, “Deborah quickly told Andrew about our situation, and without hesitation, he simply rebuked autism and commanded healing into our boys. Then he blessed us as a family and thanked God that we would fulfill God’s plan for our lives. He then said something we will never forget: He told us that we were now the parents of normal, healthy children.”

James and Timothy.
“I remember hearing that as if the whole world went quiet, and it was just these words hanging there,” added Deborah. “For me, it was Jesus talking to me, and it was a promise. I knew Andrew was right. We left and went to McDonald’s, where the boys ate like I’ve never seen them eat before.”

From the first day the McDermotts arrived home, the transformation they witnessed in their sons was remarkable. That night, the entire family experienced their first night of peaceful sleep since the day James was born—five years earlier.

Deborah and Christopher watched in awe of God’s power as James continued to sleep through the night, month after month and year after year. The same miraculous change occurred in Timothy. “It was as if Timothy was covered in scales of autism,” says Christopher, “and over time, those scales were peeled away to reveal the amazing boy that he is today.”

Deborah attributes the miraculous changes in her boy's health to God’s word of healing that He spoke to her and to Andrew’s teaching, which helped her rightly understand God’s will for healing. “When I watched Andrew, he seemed to be talking about the God that I knew… not the other one that everyone else seems to talk about,” explained Deborah.

Mother and son
Deborah felt that God led her to Andrew’s teachings so He could teach her what she needed to know. For nearly six months Deborah only listened to Andrew, and in that time, her questions were answered. "The teachings that helped me most were Spirit, Soul & Body, You’ve Already Got It, and God Wants You Well. Through these, I finally understood how I had been wrongly taught about the sovereignty of God,” said Deborah. She realized that if she had continued believing incorrectly, her boys would not be healed today because she would’ve thought that their conditions were God’s will for them.

Once Timothy and James were healed, the McDermotts took them both back to their psychologists for another evaluation. Timothy's new diagnosis reads, Timothy is a “neurodevelopmentally typical young man, and the label of Asperger’s syndrome is not applicable.” He was discharged from the doctor’s care. Likewise, James’s official report now reads, “...it is clear there has been significant progress over time in all areas associated with the triad of impairment with autism. As a result, the label, Autism Spectrum Disorder, is no longer appropriate for James and should be removed from any documentation in the future that relates to him.”

Father and son
Deborah and Timothy have begun the CBC correspondence course together and are hoping to one day attend CBC as full-time students. “From there, we’ll see where the Lord guides us,” says Deborah. “But for now, we are gaining a solid foundation through the correspondence course.”

The McDermotts’ present reality and hopes for the future are far removed from how life used to be when Timothy and James were young children. Deborah remembers when she could only imagine a life of normalcy, “I used to dream about all four of us going out to dinner and not worrying about anything… just like a normal family. I used to dream about going to the cinema and eating popcorn and watching a movie together. We had never done these things before. But, just as I had imagined, we went to the cinema, and we bought the popcorn. We are a normal family, and I am the mother of normal, healthy children—just like Andrew said.”

Charis Bible College graduates, Byron and Leesa Hamilton. The Directors of Andrew Wommack Ministries Australia and CBC-Gold Coast.
Just three years ago, Byron and Leesa Hamilton were living in Springfield, Missouri, when Byron began to feel a stirring in his heart to serve Andrew Wommack, in whatever capacity Andrew and his ministry needed. The desire to take a leap of faith resonated with Leesa, so the two made the decision to move to Colorado Springs and attend Charis Bible College. Neither of the Hamiltons knew what God was calling them to, or that they would eventually be the answer to prayers being prayed on the other side of the world.

Both Byron and Leesa were raised in Christian homes. Byron was born in Queensland, Australia, and after completing a Bachelors degree in Education, he served with Operation Mobilization, an Evangelical Christian missionary training organization. He traveled and served with the organization in Asia, India, Africa and the Middle East. After returning to Australia, Byron took a position as the principal of Bayside Christian Academy in Wynnum-Manly, Queensland. Two years later, he moved to the United States to continue his education. He The Hamiltons celebrating Leesa's graduation. graduated in 1989 with a Master's degree in Theology at the Assemblies of God Seminary in Springfield, Missouri.

Leesa grew up in Arlington, Texas, where she attended a Baptist church. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was nineteen, and she was radically transformed. After attending Arlington Baptist College and Dallas Theological Seminary, she acted in and helped produce two short films as a member of the Master-Vision Christian Artists, and then she studied acting at Casa Manana Playhouse in Ft. Worth.

raised their children, and served in various capacities within their local church body. In 2010, however, the couple stepped out of their comfort zone to pursue the stirring in Byron's heart—unaware that Colorado was just the starting point for a new faith adventure, and how their move would affect their whole family. Because of the exciting changes that took place in Byron and Leesa's lives through their studies at Charis, three of their adult children, Jeremie, Joshua, and Kelsey, moved to Colorado Springs in 2011 to join them at CBC.

Three weeks before Byron and Leesa graduated from CBC-Colorado, in May of 2012, Leesa began to feel a desire in her Byron and Leesa visiting with AWM supporters in Melbourne, Australia (Click to enlarge)heart about a particular place. As she pondered what the stirring meant, she was reminded of something God had asked her back in 2006 and again in 2008. “If I called you to Australia would you go?” Both times Leesa’s response was, “If you equip me and enable me Lord—I will go.

It was that summer, following graduation from CBC, that God led the Hamiltons to visit Australia. When partners of Andrew Wommack Ministries found out that the Hamiltons were planning a visit to Australia, the couple received multiple invitations to speak and minister in places such as Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and the Gold Coast.

While in Australia, Byron and Leesa kept their eyes open for a good location for someone to plant a Bible college. When they made their way to Australia's Gold Coast, the Hamiltons became keenly aware of God’s presence and peace. It was in the Gold Coast that they met a man named Rod Smith. Rod, an administrator at a local church, invited the Hamiltons to his home, and there was an instant unity in spirit between Byron and Leesa and Rod and his wife, Lisa. The Hamiltons soon found out that Rod had been praying specifically for a Charis Bible College to be planted in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area.

Leesa sharing the Hamilton's vision for Australia with students at CBC-Florida. (Click to enlarge)Once they had returned to Colorado Springs, the Hamiltons came to the conclusion that they were the someones God was calling to Australia, and they were the answer to Rod’s prayer. Pieces of the Hamilton's faith puzzle, beginning with the stirring in their hearts to attend CBC, to the question God asked Leesa about Australia, finally fit together for the couple. The Hamiltons set up a Skype date with Rod to let him know of their plans to open a CBC campus in Australia. Rod was amazed. A week before Byron and Leesa called him, God told Rod his prayers for a CBC extension school in Australia had been answered. “When you question why God is leading you in ways you don’t understand—remember this story and know—understanding Andrew and CBC-Colorado Director, Gary Lueke, stand with AWM/CBC team heading to Australia. The Hamiltons will be joined by CBC-Colorado graduates, David Carter (far left) and Jessica Sharp (right). (Click to enlarge)will come one day. You are the answer to someone’s prayers!” Leesa said.

Leesa completed a third year of ministry training in preparation to direct CBC-Gold Coast, which is set to open in February of 2014. Byron will be taking on the task of launching Andrew Wommack Ministries Australia. The Australia team, Byron and Leesa, along with CBC grads, David Carter and Jessica Sharp, left America for the Gold Coast at the beginning of August and they are filled with anticipation for what God has in store for Australia. The team looks forward to hosting the Gold Coast Gospel Truth Seminar with Andrew Wommack on October 31– November 2, 2013.

The Mullins family December 2009. (Click to enlarge)Mike and Aster Mullins live with their family in Buncrana, Co. Donegal, Ireland, the home of the famous hymn, Amazing Grace. In September of 2009, they welcomed their fourth son into the world. Their new baby, Andrew, was the Mullins' fifth child, and from the beginning, Aster considered him her

baby.

In December 2010, Mike and Aster noticed something was bothering Andrew. Their 15-month-old was behaving strangely; he was not eating well, he was losing weight, and he had begun banging his head. Troubled, the Mullins had Andrew examined by their family doctor, and they found that Andrew had infections in both ears. The doctor prescribed antibiotics, and the Mullins went about their business—off to Holland to celebrate Christmas.

When they returned to Ireland after Christmas, Andrew was still not well and Aster noticed a small lump on his back. Aster holds Andrew. The marks on Andrew's back indicate where the lump was to be examined.

The Mullins called their doctor again and brought Andrew in for another consultation. He arranged an appointment with the pediatrician in their local hospital. In hindsight, Aster remembers trying hard to pacify Andrew during that meeting instead of letting the doctor see the full extent of his tantrums and unsettled behavior. The pediatrician examined Andrew but did not see an urgency to scan him. About a week later the Mullins received a letter for an appointment to scan Andrew sometime in mid march.

About two weeks later, Mike and Aster noticed that Andrew looked scrawny, and they also noticed that one of his legs was hot to the touch, while the other was very cold. Once again, they brought him to their local general practitioner who was both surprised and shocked that Andrew hadn’t Andrew was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of cancer.

yet been scanned. He immediately made arrangements for the Mullins to go straight to their local hospital to get scanned as a matter of urgency.

Aster packed a bag, just in case Andrew would be kept overnight, and brought their son to the hospital for the scan. That Monday Andrew was examined and admitted to the hospital, where they scanned him on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, after a consultation with staff at Crumlin Hospital in Dublin, Ireland's largest pediatric facility, Andrew was immediately transferred to Crumlin, where they did more scans, urine tests and examinations.

On February 25, 2011 the Mullins were told that Andrew had a very aggressive form of cancer called, High Risk Neuroblastoma. He was already at stage four and had a tumor measuring 7cm x 8cm x 21cm. Andrew was just 17 months old.Andrew, seen here receiving treatment while in Mike's arms, was signed up as part of a European trial for children with Neuroblastoma. (Click to enlarge)

The Mullins, stunned by the news, found their lives turned upside down. They were thrust into a world filled with cancer jargon and terminology and put on a very steep learning curve. Aster said it felt like Andrew had been given a death sentence—like she had already lost her littlest boy.

On the following Monday, Andrew underwent further testing and preparation for treatment including the insertion of a catheter into his neck. This special catheter would be used to receive chemotherapy, blood products and a protocol of treatments that would last almost a year and a half.

Bone marrow tests and further, more invasive, scanning of Andrew's body revealed that he had over 90% cancer in his bone marrow, and that the disease was in every bone of his body apart from his hands and his feet.

Mike set up a Facebook page to mobilize people to pray for Andrew.
As they turned to the God they knew for help, they began to pray and plead for healing. In an effort to mobilize as many people as possible to pray for his son, Mike immediately set up a Facebook page for Andrew. The page brought nearly 5000 people together to "storm heavens gates" on Andrew's behalf. Their battle raged.

Three weeks after Andrew was diagnosed, Aster gave birth to their sixth child (four weeks premature). They named their baby girl, Grace.

Among the mail the family received after Grace's birth, was a parcel which included Andrew Wommack's teaching Baby Grace next to her big brother, Andrew in the oncology department. (Click to enlarge)series, God Wants You Well. "The title, funny enough, really didn't do it for me at all. At the time I was so raw, I thought, yeah right, what do I have to do for that?" recalled Aster. She and Mike put the teaching on a shelf—literally—for months.

The Mullins were (and still are) grateful to all of the nurses and doctors, who treated Andrew with love and dedication, but after nearly six months of rigorous cancer treatment, and thousands of prayers and prayer meetings, Andrew's progress was slower than expected, and both Mike and Aster were worn down. There had to be more than this, they thought. "Do I have to beg God to have mercy on my child? Do I, as a human being, have Friends sent the Mullins Andrew's teaching series, God Wants You Well, but the Mullins were so raw, they were unable to get past the title. They put the CDs on a shelf. (Click to enlarge)more compassion than God does," Mike wondered. Their prayer life changed at that point, from prayers begging God to help, to prayers asking God to teach them to pray.

Both Aster and Mike were exhausted. Self admittedly, they were in survival mode. Mike, as tired and frustrated as he was, didn't want to be in survival mode, he wanted to be in more-than-a-conqueror-mode. He also wanted to know what the Bible had to say about healing. It was at this low point, when the Mullins were on their way to Dublin for another round of chemo, that they finally listened to the first disk of the God Wants You Well series. Something in the message resonated deep within their hearts. "Wow, water to my parched, During a trip to Dublin for more treatment, the Mullins decided to listen to Andrew's message God Wants You Well. (Click to enlarge)parched, dried out soul," Aster declared.

"Although we had never heard this before, it was as if we had," said Mike with regard to Andrew's teaching. As the two listened and re-listened to the series they became convinced that it is always God's will to heal and that He did want their son well. “We don’t have to storm Heaven’s gates, God is not the oppressor, nor was He using Andrew's sickness to teach us a lesson,” realized Mike. They continued downloading and listening to Andrew's teaching, and they were transformed by rightly discerning the Word of God.

The Lord used Andrew's teaching to steer the Mullins back to the promises in the Word, teaching them that it is always His will to heal.
God used Andrew's teaching to point the Mullins back to His Word where they found promises to stand on for their son's healing. "We found promises in the Word of God, such as in the book of Proverbs (15:30) where it says good news brings health to your bones." said Mike.

After their eyes were opened to the Truth, they went to their son, and laid their hands on him with confident expectation. "We put our hands on his thigh bones and his pelvis and we said, 'Bones, we've got good news for you, By His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). And in faith, with a total conviction in my heart, we spoke that Bible verse standing on the Word of God," said Aster.

The Mullins rejoicing (Click to enlarge)After their prayer, Andrew was tested to see if he had made any progress. To the hospital staff's surprise, he had. The Mullins' consultant called and she said, "I don't know how to tell you this, but everything regarding Andrew is up in the air." To which Mike inquired, "Is it up in the air good or up in the air bad? She said, "It's up in the air good. Every one of Andrew's bones are completely clean of cancer... We really didn’t expect this."

While the news was unexpected by the doctors, it wasn't a surprise to the Mullins. "We had learned how to pray with authority, and it worked," said With Andrew's bones clear, the Mullins went after the last remaining bit of cancer, near his spine. Mike, Aster and Mike's sister spent time listening to Andrew's teachings and visiting the AWMI website for encouragement, then they went after the cancer with the Word. (Click to enlarge)Mike.

Andrew still had active cancer near his spine, and due to its location, it was inoperable. As Andrew went in for continued treatment, Aster asked the Lord for something more. After the victory in Andrew's bones, she felt they were finished using scriptures about bones—she asked the Lord for another weapon.

Faithful as always, the Lord showed Aster the story of Ehud (Judges 3:12-25). Through this passage, Aster saw her weapon revealed; she saw Ehud's double-edged dagger as the Word of God, and she thrust her dagger into the remaining cancer. As they gathered to lay hands on Andrew, Aster prayed, "Cancer, Neuroblastoma, I've got a message from God for you...By His stripes, Andrew is healed." Aster left that word of God there in Andrew's belly, not adding anything Aster asked the Lord for another scripture to use as a weapon against the remaining cancer. God faithfully took her to the book of Judges and gave her what she asked for—a double-edged sword.

else to it because she saw in the Scriptures that Ehud did not remove his dagger from the king's belly. She knew that in the end, the medical team would find that Andrew's cancer, like king Eglon, was dead on the floor. Her conviction that nothing could stand against the Word of God gave her confidence that her son would be completely cancer free and unaffected by the vicious treatment medications, the side effects of which, can also be devastating.

After treatment, when Andrew was tested again for cancer, and for any damage caused by the treatment, his results came back perfect; there was no sign of cancer or damage to any of his Andrew, completely cancer-free, playing on the beach in Buncrana—the shores on which, the lyrics of Amazing Grace were written. (Click to enlarge)organs. His eyesight, hearing, heart, lungs and both kidneys were perfect.

The Mullins chose to believe what they had learned from Andrew Wommack, the truth about God—that it is always His will to heal—always. The Mullins' victory, and revelation of God's amazing grace has brought them a freshness, excitement and confidence in the love and goodness of God. Today, they regularly visit and pray for the sick and have seen many healed.

As for Andrew Mullins, Aster said, "He is full of life... It's fantastic to see him very active, very playful and very happy."

Keith Chigondo, a graduate of Charis Bible Training Center in St. Petersburg, Russia and the Director of Charis Bible College-Zimbabwe. (Click to enlarge)Throughout his academic career, Zimbabwean, Keith Chigondo, was always very good with numbers. In fact, as a high school senior, in 2003, he was awarded a Gold medal for winning the Mathematics Olympiad in Zimbabwe. Keith had lived a normal teenage life throughout high school and had simple aspirations. He planned to attend university, find a good, well-paying job and live happily ever after with his girlfriend and future wife. This plan seemed ideal at the time.

In 2004, at age 19, as Keith waited to go to university, his mother came across an advertisement in the local newspaper offering undergraduate scholarships to study in Russia. Although Keith preferred to remain in Zimbabwe and to maintain his relationship with his Keith and some friends during the early days of his first year in Russia.

girlfriend, his mother was persistent. Keith decided to apply for a scholarship to study statistics; something he hoped would help him secure employment in field of Actuarial Science. He was awarded the scholarship and made arrangements to move to Russia.

"The scholarship was as a result of a bilateral agreement between Zimbabwe and Russia. The Russian government paid for my academic fees and accommodation, while the Zimbabwean government gave me upkeep stipends for my living expenses. My government bought my plane ticket and sent me out in September of 2004," Keith shared.

After completing his first year of studies and learning the Russian language in the city of Voronezh, Keith was transferred Keith visitng Moscow. (Click to enlarge)to St. Petersburg to continue his education. Upon his arrival in St. Petersburg, Keith met two other Zimbabwean students at the train station. During their conversation, the two invited Keith to their church, and Keith happily accepted their invitation. It was at the church that he met Carrie Pickett, the Director of Charis Bible Training Center in Russia (an extension of Andrew's Charis Bible College).

During their introduction, Carrie shared a word of knowledge with Keith and encouraged him to be attentive to the Lord because she sensed that He was about to do something significant in Keith's life. Carrie also invited Keith to check out CBTC. A short time later, Keith Keith ministering in the Congo during his CBTC second year mission trip.

enrolled at the Training Center; like many foreign students, he managed his university studies during the day and went to Charis at night.

The time Keith spent at CBTC impacted him in a significant way. After his second year in Russia, and his first year at CBTC, Keith lost interest in pursuing a career in statistics, and instead he desired to plant a CBC campus in Zimbabwe. Although he wanted to leave school to focus on ministry, he would have lost all of his scholarship and government funding, which would have forced him to leave Russia. Keith said, "The love and friendship I got there, as well as the Word, changed me and my desires. By the end of second year, I no longer desired the big life I Keith ministering alongside Carrie and Mike Pickett in Izhevsk, Russia.

had planned, and I wanted to spread the Gospel message." Although his heart was focused on ministering the word, Keith forced himself to complete the requirements so he could stay in Russia and study at CBTC. His diligence paid off and he earned his bachelor's degree in Statistics.

While finishing his degree, Keith was not content with studying the Word for three hours each evening at CBTC; he also spent his free time downloading and listening to Andrew’s messages. He listened to all of them continuously. As a result, his whole approach to life changed. Reflecting on his time in Russia Keith said, "I figured attending Bible school would keep me busy, but never knew it was God’s plan. When I look back at things, I see the real reason I went was to attend CBTC, Keith's class poses for a picture with Andrew during his 2008 visit to Russia. Front row from left: Mark and Sarah VanFrachen, Mike and Carrie Pickett, Andrew, Vladimir Tcys, CBC-Colorado grads and missionaries, Judy Gonnerman and (Click to enlarge)even though I only thought it was for Statistics. The greatest thing that transformed my life was realizing what the Gospel message is all about. Through the many teachings, mainly by Andrew, I got to understand that God’s desire has always been to make us His children. That alone gave me a new way with which to look at life and I decided to live for the One who died for me."

In order to honor his sponsoring government, Keith returned to Zimbabwe after graduation and took a job as an agricultural statistician. A position that would have been satisfying at one time, but after experiencing God's Grace, he had no peace about his work—the In the early days of CBC-Zimbabwe, Keith (left) and fellow CBC graduate, Ottilia (right) poured into the lives of just two students. (Click to enlarge)desire to share the Gospel consumed him. "The Lord put the scriptures in Haggai on my heart to build him a house and to focus on setting up CBC," said Keith.

Unable to contain his revelation, Keith began to lead Bible studies after work. Eight months passed, and he received a call from Zimbabwean, Ottilia Nyagura, a CBC-Walsall (West Midlands) graduate. During the call she shared her desire to collaborate and launch a CBC campus in Zimbabwe. Over the course of the next several months, the two managed to put the necessary pieces together to launch the school. Their efforts to get the new extension campus The ad that ran in the local paper. (Click to enlarge)off the ground were helped by generous donations from the staff at both CBC-Walsall and CBTC. CBC-Zimbabwe opened in Harare on October 3, 2011.

Although the school opened with only two students, both Keith and Ottilia were committed to seeing the school succeed. Keith was confident in his calling, and as such quit his job as a statistician. This caused no small stir in his family as they had expected him to be a successful career person. His fiancé could not accept his decision and the uncertain financial situation that accompanied Keith's choice—she walked away from their relationship.

After 15 months of pouring their hearts into two students, Keith and Ottilia decided to put an advertisement for the school in the local paper. The response was tremendous; within three Keith, stands with Andrew during his ordination ceremony in July. Carrie and Mike Pickett are in the foreground, with (L-R: Greg Mohr, Dean of Education; Gary Luecke, Director of CBC-Colorado; Daniel Amstutz, Director of the School of Worship and Healing School; George Appleton, Director CBS-Plymouth and Wendell Parr the Director of AWM World Outreach (Click to enlarge)days, CBC-Zimbabwe fielded more than 100 calls and emails from people interested in enrollment. One week later the school opened with 10 students in class, and today they are up to 106 students participating through correspondence!

This response is due, at least in part, to Andrew's recognizable presence in the region through GOD TV, TBN, and Daystar—the viewers in Zimbabwe want more of what they see on TV every day. As word continues to spread about CBC-Zimbabwe, the class sizes are sure to expand exponentially. This could be why the Lord chose a mathematician to plant the school—to turn large numbers of students to the One.

Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 151 Baines Avenue in Harare. To find out more about CBC-Zimbabwe, contact Keith via email: cbczimbabwe@gmail.com or call 0772486956.

Andrew Visits Philadelphia and NYC

The crowd in Philadelphia stands during worship. (Click to enlarge) Throughout 2013, Andrew has been covering extensive ground as he shares the Gospel Truth. Over the course of this year, he has implemented a change in his live conference schedule, substituting what the Ministry calls Gospel Truth Rallies in place of his standard Gospel Truth Seminars. Instead of spending three days and five sessions teaching in a handful of single city venues, Andrew now schedules one-night meetings within a certain region. At the end of July, Andrew spent two nights ministering in New York City and Philadelphia.

In New York, Andrew shared a message called, Reconciled to God, during which he taught that God has already taken care of sin for the entire human race, past, present and future. Many were set free by the good news Andrew shared.

Andrew teaching in New York City. (Click to enlarge)In Philly, Andrew taught a message called, Grace vs. The Law, and he challenged those in attendance with his belief that mainstream Christianity is not preaching the same Gospel that Paul preached. Using Scriptures from the book of Galatians as his opening text, Andrew showed that it was never God's intent for New Testament believers to live by the Old Testament Law.

Andrew traveled to the east coast with a ten-person team from Charis Bible College in Colorado. The student's provided prayer ministry to attendees and served as part of the worship team. Approximately 2,500 people gathered for the two meetings, at least 650 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and around 50 individuals received Salvation. The team saw a larger turnout in New York, where they distributed more than 400 of Andrew's, The New You and The Holy Spirit books, but Philadelphia produced the bulk of the salvations.

Andrew's team offered prayer before and after each meeting, and they had massive responses at both venues. The traveling prayer ministers were thankful for presence of CBC alumni from the local areas who were able to help at each meeting. Hundreds of people received prayer and the ministry time was fruitful. Some of the most notable healings included the following:

Some of the team that traveled with Andrew. (Click to enlarge)Several people received their sight; healing ranged from the restoration from complete blindness to varying degrees of visual impairments. A man named, George, came forward for prayer for his left eye; it was swollen, bulging from the eye socket and leaking fluids. George could not see out of the eye. After prayer, he smiled as he began to see light. Things were still blurry, but he was feeling a bubbling sensation behind his eyeball. He was prayed for a second time, and the swelling greatly reduced; his eye was no longer bulging. Moments later, he was able to open it wider and the eye began to return to normal. George looked around slowly and smiled... "I can see you! I can see you!" he said.

A woman came forward for prayer because her face was partially paralyzed. This prevented her from having full facial expression. After prayer, she said her face felt much better, and she had regained the ability to smile!

Another lady, who had suffered with chronic pain for 12 years, came forward to share her story. She could hardly walk as she approached the ministers, and she said her symptoms were the same as Niki Ochenski's (Several years ago, Niki was healed of severe Fibromyalgia). She became very excited during prayer, as she felt all of her pain leave. Because the pain was gone and she could move freely again, the minister asked if she wanted to go for a run, to try out her new body. To the minister's delight, the woman took off running up the nearby steps!

The blessings reported in the Big Apple and the City of Brotherly Love were abundant. To be a part of an upcoming Gospel Truth Rally or Seminar, be sure to check out Andrew's meeting schedule. With his focus shifting to the shorter Gospel Truth Rally format, Andrew may be in your area, but he may not be staying long.

God Is In The Bead Barrette Business

Jennifer Zachery's daughter, Kyndal, wearing her original, individual beads to day care. After Kyndal lodged one bead in her nose, Jennifer came up with a safe alternative.
Children say and do some incredible things. Sometimes their words and actions cause parents to beam with pride. On the other hand, sometimes, they make parents pause and pray. And, on occasion, as is the case for Jennifer Zachery, a child's actions can spark inspiration. In 2009, Jennifer's daughter, Kyndal, gave her the opportunity to reconsider how she managed her little girl's braided hairstyle. Jennifer had just picked Kyndal up from day care, where she had, experimentally, lodged a hair bead up her nose. Shortly thereafter, Jennifer considered a new and safer way to decorate Kyndal's hair. As she imagined what she could do, a creative idea came to mind—a one-piece barrette that had the appearance of a stack of beads.

Jennifer Zachery

As Jennifer continued to think, her new barrette seemed like a good idea, but finding the time to take her idea to market seemed far-fetched. At the time, Jennifer was working up to 60 hours a week as a Realtor, selling high rise condominiums in the Atlanta area. She had been successful in the real estate market for a decade, and while she sensed in her heart that it was time to move on, Jennifer found it hard to step away from a business with such lucrative rewards.

Early in 2011, however, Jennifer began to feel the pressure of decreasing sales. As successful as she had been in the past, her sales had come to a standstill, and Jennifer knew it was time for a change. She shifted her attention to creating the barrette she had envisioned two years earlier. 2011 also marks the time in Jennifer's life when she began attending a new church; it was there that she received Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Kyndal and her friend model Jennifer's Bead Barrette. (Click to enlarge)Not long after stepping away from real estate, Jennifer's pastor mentioned Andrew's ministry and gave her instructions to visit the Ministry's website. He insisted that Jennifer listen to several teachings including Andrew's series, How to Become a Water Walker.

Andrew's messages breathed life into Jennifer's business pursuits and brought an air of anticipation. "The Water Walker series taught me that I could have supernatural results, that I did not have to limit myself only to the skills and contacts that I had, and that I did not need to accept that my results would be typical," said Jennifer.

In another series of teachings, Discovering The Keys to Staying Full of God, Andrew shared an encouraging When Jennifer's product was ready, she applied to have her barrette sold in Walmart. (Click to enlarge)message about The Power of Imagination. Jennifer learned that her imagination has creative power, and she began to believe that the things she was imagining and seeing in her heart were going to become a reality. "They're my heart's desires, which are also God's desires, being pictured in my mind. The more I picture things and see them in my mind, the more real they become to me. I believe this process builds up my faith and helps me to pull into the natural, what God has already done for me in the spirit."

Jennifer not only saw her product in her mind, but she also imagined selling her Bead Barrette in Walmart. Jennifer said that from the time she became interested in applying to Walmart, to the time that her product actually shipped to their distribution centers, she would go to the store and speak to the pegs in the barrette section commanding them to fill up with her barrettes. She would visualize her product on the pegs.

Kyndal and her friends have modeled the Bead Barrette for product advertising. (Click to enlarge)Jennifer and her imaginings met with resistance from well-meaning friends, and business experts. While these people took turns trying to lower her expectations, speaking forth all the reasons why her idea couldn't work (not enough experience, money, partners, networks, etc...) Jennifer stood her ground. "I handled that by nodding and being polite, but not accepting their words in my heart. To myself, I would say, I reject that in the name of Jesus! I would also meditate on Ephesians 3:20, 'Now to Him who is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.' Then I would simply decide to believe God's word over the world's ways," she said.

The tangible results of imagination and faith. At the time of this post, Jennifer's barrette is available in 437 Walmart locations across the U.S.
In 2012, after pushing past the opposition and having her barrette successfully manufactured, Jennifer began selling her product at local festivals and through a few local retailers. Finally, Jennifer applied to Walmart to have her barrette carried in their stores. As she worked through the process, she kept her mind on Jesus, understanding that He is her provider. Jennifer said it was amazing to watch things fall into place and to see the appropriate doors open. "I had a choice of applying to be a national supplier or a local supplier, and based on where I was with the business it made a ton more sense to the natural mind for me to start on the local level. However, Andrew's teaching, Don't Limit God x10 made it clear to me that only pursuing the local level was not God's best. I'm currently in 437 stores across the country!" Jennifer said with excitement.

Jennifer and her family have become Water Walkers, and they have the photo to prove it. (L-R: Kyndal (8), Jesus (Eternal), Jennifer's husband, Steve, Jennifer and their son Kyle (6).In May of this year, the Bead Barrette made its début at Walmart. Jennifer went to her local Walmart, and as a matter of routine went to the hair section to imagine her product. To her surprise the Bead Barrette was actually there on the display pegs. "It took my breath away," said Jennifer.

Jennifer happily credits the Lord with slipping the idea for the barrette into her mind as she drove down New Hope Rd., after dropping Kyndal off to get her hair braided. She also shared that sales have been increasing, and she has noticed a trend—the more she prays in the Spirit the more things seem to increase. "The revelation I got from that is that God wants me to be certain that I understand that He is my success! Amen! I'm telling you... God is in The Bead Barrette business!

CBC-Toronto Opens Doors

Andrew and John Elshaw watch as the Director of CBC-Toronto, Abigail Elshaw addresses the audience at the first Gospel Truth Rally held in Toronto, Canada in 2012. (Click ot enlarge)Almost twenty years ago, John and Abigail (Abi) Elshaw were newlyweds living in England. Early in their marriage, the two were part of a ministry outreach team that had been invited to Abi's high school alma mater to perform for the Christian Lunch Club. While the team waited for the student audience to gather, John and Abi looked at some books about famous Christian missionaries. John picked up a book about a man named, Sir Wilfred Grenfell. Because John’s birth name is Grenfell, he was curious about the man's story. John found that Sir Wilfred was a missionary to Canada, and his motto was, “Preach the word: Heal the sick!” John looked at Abi and said, “I think the Lord is telling me that I am related to this man, and that I The book that the Lord used to spark the call to ministry in John's life. After looking at it John prayed, "Lord, I will go anywhere, but you have to open the door." (Click to enlarge)will succeed his ministry; where he healed naturally (Sir Wilfred was a doctor) I will heal supernaturally!” The two agreed, knowing that if that were true, God would have to open the necessary doors for them. Then, John put the book back on the shelf.

Based on the peek into the Elshaw's life in the paragraph above, it would appear that their lives and marriage were beautiful and harmonious as they travelled the countryside serving the King of Kings in the United Kingdom—unfortunately, that was not always the case. In the late 1990s, John and Abi's marriage was on the rocks, and they were struggling financially.

As the couple began to feel the squeeze of their financial situation they made necessary cutbacks, and cable TV was one of the first things to go. Without cable, Abi missed the programs she was used to watching on GOD TV, so Abi's friend would recorded six John and Abi's wedding day, 1995. (Click to enlarge)hours of GOD TV on a VHS tape, and give it to her. Abi would watch the tape, and give it back to her friend to record another six hours.

One day, Abi's friend gave her the tape cued up to Andrew's Gospel Truth broadcast and asked her to let him know what she thought of the message. On the tape, Andrew's opening words were, "Do you know it’s always God’s will to heal‽” Abi, having questioned why some people in church received healing and some didn't, was hooked, and she watched the whole program. John also viewed some of the program, but he was convinced that Andrew was a stereotypical American preacher—just after money, and he wasn't interested.

After Abi watched the program, she found that Andrew's products were available for free, and she ordered his teaching series Christian Survival Kit, followed by Harnessing Your Emotions. John and Abi graduated from CBC Colorado in 2006. Here they stand with Andrew. (Click to enlarge)"God suddenly showed me that contrary to my belief, I was the problem in our marriage! I started to change and John noticed. After that, John began to listen to Andrew too. Listening to Andrew’s teaching saved our marriage," Abi said.

Eventually, the Elshaws attended one of Andrew's annual Grace and Faith Conferences in the UK. Abi came away feeling as though they were to attend Charis Bible College, but at the time John felt differently. John said, “Jesus never went to Bible school, so I’m not going."

Abi adressing the third-year class at CBC-Walsall (West Midlands) in 2010. (Click to enlarge)As the couple continued to listen to Andrew's teaching, they realized that the call to ministry they once shared had been reawakened. They knew that CBC was the stepping stone, or necessary door, they needed to prepare to walk in their calling. Although the Elshaws originally thought they would attend CBC-Walsall (now called CBC-West Midlands) the two ended up leaving the UK to study in Colorado.

John and Abi moved to the United States in 2004 and graduated from CBC's two-year program in 2006. After graduation they returned to the UK, where they completed their third-year ministry training at CBC-West Midlands. After completing the program, John and Abi took positions on staff with Andrew Wommack Ministries Europe and CBC.John speaking in Heidelberg and CBC-South Africa. (Click to enlarge)

In 2007, the Elshaws were ordained by Andrew while visiting the Colorado campus. Immediately following the ordination ceremony, David Hardesty, the General Manager and COO of Andrew Wommack Ministries, approached John and Abi and said, “We’re looking to start a work in Canada, and I can’t stop thinking about you two. Is that something you would be interested in?” The Elshaws were excited by the thought of being a part of AWM's efforts in Canada, and memories of the day back in Abi's old high school began to flood their minds.

The process and preparation for the launch of CBC-Toronto has been six years in the making, during God used AWM's GM and COO, David Hardesty, to "open the door" in Canada for John and Abi. (Click to enlarge)which time they remained under the ministry's leadership in the UK. "We worked at CBC and AWME doing a variety of different jobs. Between us, we’ve worked in most departments in the ministry: on the helpline, GTR team, Worship teams, CBC Third-Year program, Pastoral Relations UK, Production, Audio Dept., Media/Graphics, and Finances," said Abi. She went on to say that they have also had the privilege of teaching at the school in Belfast, Ireland and at the campus in South Africa.

The Elshaws have had an awesome response to the announcement of the school's opening. Abi and John left England in March of 2013, and they are on the ground in Canada now with plans in Besides being home to CBC's first campus in Canada, Toronto, Ontario, is also the home of the world's tallest building, The CN Tower. "We still had several years to wait, but in June last year, when we attended the first Canadian Gospel Truth Rally, we saw things beginning to come together and here we are!" Abi said excitedly. At this year's Gospel Truth Rally, held on July 25, 40 people requested applications, and 80 more requested more information about the school.

Getting a hold of Andrew's teaching, and the revelation of God's unconditional love and grace, has changed everything for John and Abi. They both have a deeper relationship with the Lord and their marriage is intact. "We are more in love with each other today than when we first met— I never thought we’d make it past the first 5 years. We’ve been debt free and prospering since 2004, and we have seen so many miracles happen through Christ in us. We’ve left our country twice (that’s something I would never have done before) and we feel that we are just beginning to see the fulfillment of a calling that was initiated long ago," said Abi.

CBC-London East, The Newest UK Campus

Director of Charis Bible College-London East, Corwin Schol. (Click to enlarge)Several years ago, Corwin Schol, a former United States serviceman, and his wife, Vivian, moved from the U.S. to England. Part of Corwin's daily routine in the UK came to include the recording and watching of a pair of television programs produced by well-known ministers. Because Corwin didn't want to miss a moment of the teachings, he would set his VCR to begin recording ten minutes ahead of each broadcast. It just so happened that the program which aired prior to Corwin's favorite ministers was Andrew's Gospel Truth. On one occasion, Corwin found himself watching the ten-minute segments he had recorded of Andrew's programs, and what he heard captured his attention.

(Click to enlarge)Corwin began to include the Gospel Truth in his recording routine, and in time, he actually stopped watching the other two ministers. Although he had gained revelation and understanding about healing and other topics from the first two ministers, Andrew's messages were hitting closer to home. At one point, Holy Spirit reminded Corwin that, when he was a young boy, the Lord had showed him the same things Andrew was teaching.

For years, Corwin had desired to attend Bible college. After listening to Andrew for some time, he knew he wanted to go to Charis Bible College's Walsall campus in England. For five years he made mention of his desire to attend, and for five years he was rebuffed by those closest to him; church leadership, family and friends all had reasons why he should not go to school.

Corwin and his wife, Vivian, celebrate his graduation from CBC-Walsall. (Click to enlarge)After attending a meeting at the CBC-Walsall campus in March of 2007, Corwin returned home (three hours away) committed to enroll in classes. When he announced his decision to go to school, it was as if nobody heard him. "Because I had been saying for five years that I wanted to go, and then didn't go, they didn't hear the difference when I said I was going," said Corwin.

For the next few weeks after making the choice to go, Corwin continued watching and listening to Andrew's teaching. Andrew's messages, A Place Called There and Get Out of the Boat solidified his determination to enroll. While listening to Get Out of the Boat, Corwin remembered he was required to give his place of employment one month's notice before leaving his job. As he remembered his deadline, he also realized he had exactly one month, to the day, before school started. Corwin called to his wife, who was in another room, and he told her he was planning to resign that day, so he could go to Bible college. "She said, 'No you're not,' and I said, Corwin his third year training at CBC. (Click to enlarge)Yes I am. And I did," recalled Corwin.

Friends and co-workers asked why he wanted to go to a Bible school so far away, and he flippantly commented, "Maybe I'll start a Bible college here." Although he made the comment for lack of something better to say at the time, he now realizes he was speaking prophetically over himself.

Against the objections of his family, friends and church, Corwin enrolled at CBC-Walsall. He said, "My church leaders didn’t want me to go, my sons didn’t want me to go, my wife didn’t want me to go. No one, but me and God wanted me to go—but then that makes a majority, doesn’t it?"

Although Corwin received Jesus at the age of five, he never really knew who he was in God's eyes. Through attending CBC, Corwin found his true identity in Christ and this revelation has revolutionized his life. As a result, his relationships, including his marriage, are better than ever.

At the end of Corwin's first year, Andrew made his annual visit to Walsall. It was during that time that Corwin began to sense his calling to open an extension school in London. Prior to Andrew's visit, Corwin had been looking to others to start another college campus in England. He even approached CBC-Walsall's leadership about the idea, and he was told that a college in London wasn’t part of Andrew's plan. Although he had begun to sense he was to start the new school, the disinterest expressed by the school was conveyed so convincingly that Corwin didn’t see the point of completing the optional third year program at CBC. After graduation he left.

The following year, Corwin met Benjamin David Conway, who was starting a new church in Dagenham, 20 minutes UK Directors, Corwin Schol, Alan Bruce (CBC-Belfast) and Dominic Burns (CBC-Yorkshire) touring CBC-Colorado's new campus in Woodland Park, Colorado during this summer's directors meeting.

away from Corwin's home. During one conversation, Benjamin said his church was going to be a Grace church, mainly following Andrew’s teachings. Benjamin then asked Corwin what his vision for ministry was now that he had graduated from Charis. Again, for lack of something better to say, and despite the negative feedback he had received, Corwin said, "I'm going to start a CBC in London.”

After spending a year away from CBC, the desire to start another campus was still burning in Corwin's heart. He met with CBC-Walsall's third-year coordinator, Abi Elshaw, and the two discussed his return to school and revisited the topic of starting a campus in London. Abi suggested a plan of action to get the ball rolling for a new school and Corwin signed on for his third year. He graduated in 2011.

Classes are scheduled to be held at Harmony House in Dagenham, Essex. (Click to enlarge)Serving as a reminder that our words are powerful, Corwin's extension school is now a reality. The campus known as, CBC-London East, is slated to open its doors this fall. Classes are scheduled to be held at Harmony House in Dagenham, Essex. For more information about the school and its programs and to fill out your application, visit the CBC-London East website today.

For those considering attending CBC in London or elsewhere, Corwin recommends Andrew's teachings Get Out of the Boat (part of the How To Become A Water Walker: Lessons In Faith series) and The Place Called There. He said, "For the prospective student's point of view, those two teachings are the most relevant."

We are thankful to be largely unaffected by the flooding in Colorado. The road to Woodland Park from Colorado Springs has been closed periodically due to mudslides, and a few staff have had to take a two-hour detour to get home.

The most trouble has been north of us in the Denver, Boulder, and Estes Park areas where twelve to eighteen inches of rain fell in just a few days. Eight lives have been lost, nearly 12,000 are evacuated from their homes, and at the time of this post more than hundred are still missing. I pray that all are located safely. These massive floods have destroyed or damaged nearly 20,000 homes, and the people there need help. Seeing this devastation draws on Jesus’ compassion in us and causes us to be stirred up to do something.

You may remember that I recently reconnected with Denny Nissley with Christ in Action (CIA) and that we (and many of you) supported their efforts in the aftermath of the Moore, Oklahoma, tornados in May of this year. CIA began ministering in 1982. The first disaster relief effort was in 1998 at a flood in Cuero, Texas. And they’ve been to many disasters since, including Hurricane Sandy. They are one of the first ones the government calls to bring in on-the-ground help. In fact, after serving over 420,000 meals and helping rebuild over 500 homes following Hurricane Katrina, the White House asked CIA to organize faith-based groups to supply disaster relief. CIA is a seasoned and recognized ministry that we can trust.

Denny already has an assessment team on the ground here in Colorado and is in talks with the Colorado Office of Emergency Management to evaluate how many trucks they need to bring. Depending on what is needed, they can hand out up to 15,000 meals per day and give 400-500 showers per day to meet day-to-day needs. Tools and equipment for rebuilding homes are also on the trucks. There is so much to be thankful for. Denny’s team has thought in advance about what is needed in these situations. I’m so grateful for the wisdom God has supplied to CIA. Denny will be arriving Thursday to lead the recovery effort personally.

Please pray for CIA to find a church in the Longmont, Colorado, area that would allow them ample room to set up their trucks in the parking lot and for the volunteers to set up camp.

CIA will need volunteers and cash to reach as many people as possible. If you’d like to help, either with time or money, please click the links below in the area where you would like to help. You have to register in order to volunteer. All donations go to support the cause, and no administrative fees are deducted.

Below, I've listed two of the various ways people can get connected to CIA and the relief efforts in the Denver area. Please take a few minutes to pray for those affected by these floods and for those providing a helping hand.

God bless you,

Andrew

The Barn, the first building at CBC-Colorado's new campus in Woodland Park. (Click to enlarge)Two months have passed since we brought you our last update from The Sanctuary, and as you will see in the images below, progress has been swift and steady since our last report. It has been one year since contractors and their crews arrived at CBC's new campus in Woodland Park and today, great strides have been made toward the project's completion. At the time of this post, crews are working diligently to install the building's windows, and within a short time the Barn, as Andrew calls it, will be totally enclosed. Be sure to take a close look at each photo, imagine the designated spaces full of world-changing student activity, and know that soon it will all be reality!
